the careful part
Privacy policy
Last updated: April 2026
The short version
WhamFam stores the data you give it (your household graph) so Wham can be useful. We don't sell it. We don't train AI on it. We use a small number of carefully chosen vendors to make the product work, listed below.
What we store
During beta, the WhamFam web app stores most of your household data client-side, in your browser's localStorage. That includes family members, house details, tasks, events, decisions, and documents you add. This data lives on your device until you clear it.
During the live beta we don't require an account or email. If you contact us at hello@whamfam.co, we keep that email so we can reply.
AI requests
When you ask Wham something, the relevant household context is sent to Anthropic so their language model can produce a response. Anthropic processes the request and returns the answer. Per Anthropic's API terms, your data isn't used to train their models.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics for privacy-friendly, cookie-less aggregate analytics on this marketing site (page views, country level). We don't use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party analytics that profile you across the web.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your data.
- We don't use your household data to train AI models.
- We don't share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We don't use surveillance trackers (Pixel, GA, etc.) on the marketing site or in the app.
Your choices
You can delete your localStorage data at any time from your browser settings, or by clearing site data. For anything else, write to hello@whamfam.co.
Kids
WhamFam is for adults running households. We don't knowingly collect data directly from kids under 13. Parents enter family data on their kids' behalf and own that data.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll email people on our list and update the "last updated" date above.
